Student Privacy Matters, aka the Parent Coalition for Student Privacy, does not collect, analyze, share or sell personally-identifiable information about users of this site without their consent. Through Google Analytics tracking on our SSL-encrypted website, we collect only limited, anonymized server log data for the purpose of monitoring site performance and security. All demographic and interest data collection, such as Google Advertising Features, has been disabled.
If you check off that you would like to join us as a coalition member, that will constitute permission for the Parent Coalition for Student Privacy to use your name and/or organization publicly in connection with our campaign to strengthen federal privacy protections for students. If at any time, you would like to withdraw from our Coalition, you can easily do so by unsubscribing from our email list.
If you ask to subscribe to our newsletter, we will you send you periodic updates on our campaign by email, and provide you with alerts of actions so that you can help us fight for stronger student privacy and security protections. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from our email list, you may do so.
We may at times embed video, audio, and other content from third-party sites. Often, these third-party embeds contain tracking codes. Data collected by these third parties is governed by their privacy policies. We strongly encourage people browsing the internet who do not wish to be tracked to use a no-cost ad/tracking blocker. Instructions on various tools to address tracking are available at ProPublica.
We will never use your email address or any other personally identifiable information for any other purpose than that listed above, nor knowingly provide it to any third party without your explicit permission.
We strive to protect the privacy of those who visit our site and interact with it, just as we work to strengthen privacy protections for students. If you have questions, feel free to contact us at [email protected].
